Situated on the banks of the Nuwejaars River, 3km East of the picturesque mission village of Elim, and only 20km from the southernmost tip of Africa – where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet - Zoetendal Wines, established in 2004, is the product of Johan de Kock. To date Zoetendal’s vineyards have given rise to three exquisite wines: a Milé (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot), Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz. |
| Zoetendal’s participation in the unique Nuwejaars Wetland Special Management Area initiative also cements their commitment to sustainable farming, and by maintaining the diverse ecology of the Nuwejaars wetland in accordance with international standards, they have been declared ‘an area of excellence and good practice’.
